Having spent my fair share of time at countless different laundromats in SE Michigan - I have to say Washtenaw Wash ranks highest on my list. Unlike nearby laundromats that charge exorbitant amounts for small loads of laundry, Washtenaw Wash has a wide variety of cost-friendly, clean washers and dryers and a welcoming environment.
I found Washtenaw Wash when I was really struggling with financial circumstances and living paycheck to paycheck. My first time in, I was greeted by incredibly friendly staff who made conversation and connected with me. I was met with far more reasonable prices for more washer space than anywhere else I had been, and the dryer fee of 25¢ for 8 minutes (including their extra large dryers) meant I could afford to actually do an additional load of laundry that I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to. On several occasions, the Washtenaw Wash staff have offered acts of kindness when I needed something and forgot it.
A laundromat might seem like a strange place to be so thankful for, but Washtenaw Wash helped me stay afloat during a time in my life that was incredibly stressful. 1000% I recommend this location to anyone looking for an affordable, clean, and friendly environment!

Laundry mat is old but always clean and well kept.
Lady on Sunday’s is helpful, dedicated.
Prices are better than others I’ve been to.
It’s now the only laundry mat I go to! :)

Rose is always so nice and welcoming when I come in! I get a lot of school work done when I’m waiting for my laundry to be done, very cozy atmosphere!

I come here every week and the place is clean, machines work efficiently, and the employees are super kind and helpful. Rose is the best. She's a delight and an absolute cleaning MACHINE! Love to see her and she's got a wonderful memory for customers.

I enjoy coming here! The laundry in my building is very expensive and does not clean or dry well, so I come to this laundromat! The dryers are really effective, even on low heat, and I love the new 24/7 weekend hours.

Darrel is always really kind and helpful, and Rose cautioned me to watch my step as she was mopping, which I appreciate.

Last visited 9/21/25 (late posting review). See photo for current hours (even though the sign is a little confusing... I think it's saying they're open 24 hours Fri-Sun, and 6am-midnight M-Th?)

Prices seemed a little high to me, but lots of machines available with a fair variety of sizes. If my home / apartment complex washer or dryer was broken or unavailable, I would not be unhappy about using this facility to pinch hit until I could get my appliances fixed. Using these machines for day-to-day laundry seems a bit on the expensive side, though.

Everything that I come in to wash and Rosie is on duty she is so nice. When I bring my mom clothes up for the attendant to wash them Rosie she does a very good job, my mom always leave her a tip.
