If I could give this a no star I would. Given the coin shortage not many people around town have quarter rolls on hand so I could do laundry back at my apartment complex because it is coin operated and cheaper then any laundry mat. so after going to these guys 3 times to get quarters with no problem today I ran into a problem with the lady that was running the dry cleaning. I went in with a 20 to get quarters I greeted the lady saying hi how are you politely and she said good thanks so I persisted to go get quarters out of their quarter machine and the lady stopped me and asked are you doing laundry here I said no.she said that I couldn't use it and I told her no one else gave me a problem but ok. Aggravated because no one had given me a problem before I was on my way out the door frustrated. Then she told me oh ok then you can use it . thinking to myself are you kidding me?! I said no it's fine have a good day she said you too to me. Went to the bank afterwards to get the quarters I needed and asked if they were having a problem in getting quarters because you guys gave me a problem and they said no so why the hard time ? I wouldn't do laundry there anyways even if I had to. Not with that attitude I got.

My experience with Pratt Abbott in Scarborough was great. We moved to Biddeford in 2013 as we found property here for our horses. We found the Biddeford location to be dark and dreary, and not the most pleasant place to drop off your dry cleaning. During Covid, we actually had delivery service in Biddeford which was great, until they abruptly stopped that. Now the Store is closed until they can find more help. If there were other dry cleaners close, I would never return, but unfortunately there are not, so we are schlepping our dry cleaning to the Saco Store. Biddeford is growing yet Pratt Abbott seems to treat this community as its lowest priority. When you can't attract and retain people to work, its generally a sign that your compensation isn't competitive, or that working for you is really unpleasant. This isn't rocket science...

Ruined my clothes. My whites are tan now. I asked them to use my laundry detergent because of skin allergies and they didn’t. Burnt my clothing and obviously left my clothes in the dryer so they were EXTREMELY wrinkled. I will never use their services again.
Four hours of laundry and another two of ironing. Casualties are five pairs of pants shrunk and ruined and four burnt shirts. Two shirts ruined and one sweater shredded. Do not let these people touch any clothing. I would question the cleanliness of sheets and towels as well.
Management still hasn’t responded to my calls.
