Clean Clothes Coin Op

My washer is broken right now and I remembered this coin-op. I hoped that it wasn’t going to be busy at 11:30 a.m. on a Thursday because I had 4 loads to do. I was surprised at how small it was but it had plenty of machines open. There were 2 other people doing their laundry but I think if 2-3 more people were there I either would have had to wait or find another place. I was shocked at how expensive a normal front loader was ($2.75; $3.00 for heavy wash cycle for my husband’s work clothes). I’m probably not current on coin-op prices because it’s been thirty years. The washers seemed to get the clothes clean and it was only $1.50 to dry 4 full loads. That I thought was amazing!
There was one weird thing that happened right when I got there. I was sorting laundry and the attendant who only spoke Spanish walked up to me. I said hello and she just stood there watching me for a good 2 minutes. I felt like she was “inspecting “ my laundry? Me? IDK. I asked if she wanted something and she just said “No English “ and then walked away. The place was clean other than the pair of little girl’s underwear I found in a washer. I used a different one! Will probably go back here again until I get washer fixed or break down and buy one.

The prices are reasonable but I disliked the fact that the attendant treated me as if It was first time washing clothes. Then proceeded to take my clothes out before the rinse cycle finished.
